MansionPoker is one of those few poker rooms who came out of the shadows on their own with no network support. They developed their own software within the depths of their own company and their segregated traffic seemed to really respond kindly to it. Their software package is viewed by many as one of the best. Their software alone however, wasn't enough to attract the kind of attention the poker room really needed to grow. To attend to their low traffic problem, Mansion greatly expanded their player base by joining arms with the iPoker and has been doing a lot better since.

As if their amazing software and increasingly better traffic weren't enough to give MansionPoker a try, they're now offering an initial deposit bonus of 100% up to $500.

To clear these bonuses you need to earn the required number of Mansion Club Points (MCPs.) For every 650 MCPs you earn, $10 will be released from the bonus into your real cash account. In order to receive the full $500 bonus this would require you to earn 32,500 MCPs.

For cash games, the amount of MCPs you earn depends on what type of rake and how much it is. For example, if you were playing $.25 - $.50 nlhe with 6 players, the pot is raked $.01 for every $.20 up to maximum of $3. So if the final rake ended up being $1.25, you would earn 3.75 MCPs, $1.5 4.5 MCPs, $2 6.25 MCPs, and keeps going up to $3.01 - $5 13 MCPs. You earn MCPs even when the rake is only $.01! A complete listing of how much MCPs you earn depending on your rake can be found at MansionPoker's website. For tournaments, every $1 you spend in tournament buy-in fees will net you 20 MCPs.

Mansion Poker Download Review

Downloading Mansion Poker requires at least 30 MB of free disk space, minimum Windows 98, 128 MB of RAM, and a screen resolution of at least 800 by 600 pixels. There is currently no support for Macs.

When I tried downloading the software, I had trouble at first. The first several times I attempted it, it told me it could not complete the download because I was either offline or the server was too busy. They placed a temporary icon on my desktop and told me to wait a few minutes and then click the icon to try again. I did as they suggested a few times, and after a couple tries, it worked and the rest of the download was painless.

To view any of the tables, you must register yourself. To register, you need to provide your first and last name and an email address. You will be asked to select both a username and a poker room nick name. These names can be different if you so choose. They will also ask you go select a location, but you don't have to unless you're planning on playing with real money.

To start a real money account, there are a few additional questions. You must give them your date of birth, your gender, address, and phone number. At this point, you must identify your location. When it comes to currencies, there are 13 of them to choose from (but keep in mind that all the games in the lobby are US dollars). The Mansion client is now available in English, German, Spanish, or Swedish and they are constantly working on adding more languages.

Since moving to the iPoker network, you should know what to expect with the Mansion Poker Download. All rooms that have the PlayTech software are top notch and they are always making new updates and adjustments.

VIP Loyalty Programme

The VIP System will be split into two distinct categories. The short term VIP plan will reward customer loyalty on a monthly basis with loyalty points which can be used to purchase goods in the club shop. The long term loyalty plan will be geared towards rewarding players for maintaining their revenue over a period of three or six months.

VIP Plan
Players will earn Mansion Club points as they play real money games or tournaments, the rate that the points are earned will average at 20 points for each $1 in rake.
Loyalty points will be ‘boosted’ each month by multiplying by a factor from 1 to 5.5 dependent upon their VIP status

Loyalty Plan

In addition to the short term VIP plan we will also operate a longer term loyalty scheme to encourage players to maintain or increase their VIP level for longer periods.
To take part in the loyalty scheme players must maintain their VIP level  over a period of three months or more will be able to claim additional points reward.
Players must maintain a VIP level of Club or above for a minimum period of 3 months in the last 6 months to qualify for any extra points

All points awarded will only be based on VIP status over the last 6 months, but players can choose when to claim and therefore over which 6 month period the bonus is based.
The system is designed to encourage players to play for a 6 month period to achieve the biggest points reward, even if this is at a lower VIP level, rather than claim after 3 months at a higher level.
