A small review on Omaha poker Print
Omaha poker is a part of the family of card poker games. It's a variation from the classic style of poker which incorporates unique elements of community or shared cards in the game structure. The rules of this game are quite similar to Texas Hold'em, a very popular variation of poker that also shares cards.

The objective in this game is to ensure you have the best five card hand as compared to any other person at your table. The game involves a standard fifty two card deck of cards and can easily accommodate any number of players ranging from 2 to 10.

At the beginning of every game, the person on the left of the dealer starts by playing the small blind. Then comes the second players turn and who plays the big blind. The blinds are just mandatory bets which start off the pot. The responsibility for paying blinds keeps on shifting in a clockwise rotation around the table so that every player contributes to the game.

After the blinds are paid, every player is given four cards that are facing down. These cards are referred to as the player's pocket (hole) cards & must be hidden from all the other players. Every player has to use 2 cards from here in making their final, five card poker hands. A player is free to choose any two cards from their four pocket ones and combine them with 3 out of the 5 community cards in order to make their hands.

After the first deal, the first betting round begins. After betting, community cards are dealt on to the table for the first time, facing up. This round is known as the flop and involves three cards. Players are then asked to bet one more time beginning from the one on the left side of the dealer. Any person, who does not wish to pay, bet, or call automatically forfeits his cards and leaves the game for that round. Every other player then gets to see the Turn, the 4th community card. After another round of betting, the final community card is shown, known as the river. Now, final bets are made and the remaining players are then asked to reveal their hands. The player with the highest hand is the winner of the pot.

Once a player has understood the basic rules, he should definitely practice. There are many different formats for playing this game. Using internet connections, people play this game online for free and even for real money
in online casinos. Playing the free version of the game is the best way for you to hone your skills as they do not lose anything if they make a mistake.
